About the Book
This book is designed to make the process of writing social science research more accessible for young researchers. Drawing from the author’s personal experiences with the challenges faced while writing theses, research papers, or monographs, the work provides valuable insights into how ideas can be effectively presented in written form. The author explores the dynamics between researchers, the Indian state through the University Grants Commission, and the world of publishing in shaping Indian social sciences. Critical issues such as references, ethics, and the politics of academia are thoroughly addressed, guiding researchers on how to overcome language barriers, approach journals, and avoid common pitfalls in the publishing world.
