About the Author:
Satyendranath Majumdar (1892–1954) was a renowned Bengali writer, journalist, and biographer, best known for his works on Swami Vivekananda. Born in Tangail, Bangladesh, Majumdar was deeply influenced by the teachings of Swami Vivekananda from a young age. He became closely associated with the Ramakrishna Mission and was initiated by Sri Sarada Devi. Majumdar actively participated in the Indian independence movement under the leadership of prominent figures like Subhas Chandra Bose and Chittaranjan Das.

He was an integral part of Anandabazar Patrika as an editor for nearly 20 years and also contributed to other significant journals like Swaraj and Satyayug. Apart from his work on Vivekananda, Majumdar wrote extensively on various subjects, including biographies, novels, and translations, such as Stalin’s Biography and Jawaharlal’s Autobiography. His literary works earned him respect in both the journalistic and literary communities.
