About the Book:

स्वामी विवेकानन्द – This biography presents the inspiring life of Swami Vivekananda, who was once a mischievous child named Narendra. His transformation into a profound and determined sanyasi, deeply immersed in Vedantic philosophy, is a story of divine will and human potential. The book explores his journey under the guidance of Swami Ramakrishna Paramhansa, and how Narendra’s heart, shaped by the teachings of his Guru, became a temple of devotion.

Swami Vivekananda’s belief that "Man's heart is the greatest temple of God" reflects in his life, dedicated to preaching across India and abroad, with an unshakable faith in humanity’s inherent spiritual potential. Premchand, the master storyteller, narrates this remarkable journey with a simple yet profound touch, making it accessible for all readers. His portrayal of Vivekananda offers readers an unmatched understanding of Vedantic wisdom and its practical application in life.

About the Author:

Premchand (1880-1936), one of the most celebrated writers in Hindi literature, was born in Lamhi village near Varanasi. He began his writing career at the age of 21, initially writing in Urdu under the pen name 'Nawab Rai.' His first Urdu story collection, Sooze-e-Watan, was seized by the British government. This event marked a pivotal point in his career, and he switched to writing in Hindi, adopting the name "Premchand," under which he achieved literary fame.

His works, like Godan, Sevasadan, and Nirmala, resonate with the social issues of his time. As a vocal critic of colonial rule, Premchand resigned from his government job and immersed himself in the independence movement, while also establishing the Saraswati Press and editing the historic Hans magazine. His literary genius and commitment to social reform have made his works timeless.
