Synopsis:
In "Sudharani O Nabin Sannyasi," Samaresh Majumdar brings together two vastly different yet strangely connected lives—Sudharani, a girl from Sonagachhi, and a young ascetic from an ancient epic.

Sudharani, born in a forbidden red-light district, could have lived her life singing and selling her body like countless others. With age, she might have become either a landlady or a diseased beggar. However, the allure of respectability suddenly pulled her into an unfamiliar world where her past experiences proved useless.

Similarly, the young ascetic, raised in the secrecy of a forest hermitage under his father’s strict discipline, stepped into an unknown world and found all his teachings inadequate.

The novel explores a thought-provoking question—if Sudharani and the young ascetic had ever met, would their lives have taken a different turn?
