About the Author

Subhash Chandra Basu (1897-1945) was a revolutionary leader and a prominent figure in the Indian independence movement. Born in Cuttack, he initially pursued a career in the Indian Civil Services (ICS), but resigned to dedicate himself to the service of India. He played a vital role in organizing the Azad Hind Fauj (Indian National Army - INA) and was a key advocate for India’s independence.
