Preface

My friend Sri S.V. Govindan is not mere a learnedwriter. In his early youth he was attracted by the ideals ofMahatma Gandhi and observing celibacy he proved himselfas a true Satyagrahi doing constructive work for the welfareof the country. Now he is one of the old members ofVinobas Ashram, Brahma Vidya Mandir, Paunar. Hestrives to achieve the ultimate and tries to serve the humanbeing for their Physical health and Spiritual peace by doingmassage.

He got this art from Kelappanji. Being a regularSpinner he has traveled most of the European countriesand U.S.A. and Canada to propagate massage. Whereverhe goes, he collects a group of friends. This experiencedperson is ever learning and has written some books forthe benefit of others. The Techniques of Massage of which thousands of copies have been sold is one amongthem.

With his own experience he has written a small book,Spiritual Energy Massage. All of us know the role ofacupuncture, the system of Chinese treatment. From thatacupressure is developed and it is very popular every- where. The Spiritual Energy Massage is based on SPIRITUAL ENERGY MASSAGEWhen I returned I read some books on Kundalini andChakras of our body and also the reflexology book. I found there are some connections with the Chakras and theendocrine glands, and these glands have the reflexologypoints on the soles of the feet, | included in my daily routine ofauto massage, Asana, Pranayama etc, just to rotate on thosereflexology points chanting the Bija mantras about 2",minutes on each points, before meditation.

After some months I felt more concentration during meditation. At first I was rotating the points on both the solesat a time, starting root chakra point towards crown chakra- respectively. It did not give me any result. So I began torotate on each points of the sole separately. Though I gotsome result, it was not satisfactory. Again I referred a yogabook and found that Heart Chakra is for universal or cosmiclove. So started first from the point for Thymus gland which isconnected to Heart Chakra. I was observing how the energyflows. I felt the energy moves down and then up respectively.Accordingly I began to massage on the points of the soles ofthe feet. And I got the desired result.

Then I began to teach the spiritual energy massage ~also during the massage seminar. In Italy I prepared a audiocassette of the Bija mantras so that Listening the mantrasmassage can be done.
