He completed his education in Kolkata and obtained a doctorate from Sussex University, England. His professional career as a scientist spans various fields such as materials science, semiconductors, and nanotechnology. Mukhopadhyay’s personal interests include Bengali music, international folk dance, photography, and travel to remote cultures. He now resides in New Mexico, USA.
