🖋 About the Author:
Sagarmoy Ghosh was born on June 22, 1912. He spent his childhood and student years in the serene surroundings of Santiniketan’s Amrakunja. A graduate of City College, he was deeply passionate about literature, art, music, and theater from an early age.
He began his career with Nabashakti and Jugantar and, as a student, participated in the Non-Cooperation Movement, for which he was imprisoned. In 1939, he joined Anandabazar Patrika and later became the editor of Desh magazine, a position he held for many years.
During his student years, he contributed to renowned publications like Prabasi and Bichitra. He also compiled and edited several books, including Param Ramaniya, Ashtadashi, and the Desh magazine’s golden jubilee collection of stories, poems, and essays.
