About the Author

Kavita Choudhury was born on 13th January 1942 in Andul Rajbari. She hails from a family of eight siblings, with a rich lineage of cooking traditions. Her marriage into the famous Dutta Chowdhury family of Andul further enriched her culinary experiences. While her formal education was limited to school, her lifelong exposure to traditional royal cooking shaped her knowledge and passion for Bengali cuisine. In addition to this book, she has published a memoir titled "Nakshikata Smritir Kantha", which reflects the history and culture of Andul.
