She did her PhD in Botany and went on to become a lecturer in Reddy Women's college. She worked for forty years in the same college from ]uly 1957'to August 1997. After retirement in 1993 she worked as director, PG courses and administrator ofthe college. She got many awards in her career and took part in many social service activities.
