Synopsis:
Rajinder’s peaceful life in Bhowanipore, Kolkata, with his mother, wife, and son Kuldeep, takes a tragic turn when his sister and brother-in-law, Gurbachan Singh and Rohini Kaur, visit from Desgaon, Rohila. Their arrival brings back memories for Kuldeep—visions of lush Punjab fields and his childhood friend Ranjha’s sister, Rimjhim.
However, tragedy strikes when Punjab police storm Rajinder’s home, acting on false information. Suspecting Gurbachan and Rohini of being extremists, they execute them without trial, shattering the family. Kuldeep, lost in grief, seeks justice but finds only darkness. He longs to return to Punjab, but the question lingers—will he ever belong there? Or will he remain a stranger everywhere? Parabas is a gripping tale of identity, loss, and displacement, portraying the struggles of a man caught between two worlds.
