About the Author:

• Birth: September 8, 1955, in the Bikrampur district of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
• Education: Attended Gendaria High School in Dhaka, and later studied Economics at Jagannath University College.
• First Work: His first short story Bondhu (Friend) was published in 1973, and his debut novel Jabbajeevan was published in 1976.
