Bratya Basu (ব্রাত্য বসু) was born on September 25, 1969, in Kolkata. He completed his education at Bangur School, Presidency College, and the University of Calcutta, earning a Master’s degree in Bengali Literature. As a playwright, director, and actor, Basu is a towering figure in modern Bengali theatre.
The son of the renowned theatre personality Bishnu Basu, Bratya has won numerous awards for his work, including:
