About the Book:
The famous novelist Vishwas Patil’s latest writing is centered around the sugar factory, family conflicts over ownership, and the political struggles intertwined with it. The story follows two brothers, Bapurao and Baban Nana, from the prestigious Dongare-Deshmukh family, who jointly own the Gajara Cooperative Sugar Factory. However, both brothers wish to have unlimited control over the factory, without any interference from the other, leading to constant arguments and rising tensions in the family, eventually giving way to politics.
Bapurao, the learned one, is initially a school teacher, whereas Baban Nana has diverse interests outside education. By sheer luck, Baban becomes the chairman of the sugar mill. To make his entry easier, Baban helps Bapurao during times of crisis. Meanwhile, their children, Rajkumar (Prince), Bapurao’s son, and Bajirao, Baban’s son, are drawn into the family drama. Netra, a strong-willed woman, wishes to marry Prince but ends up with Bajirao. Shalaka, Prince’s wife, returns to her parental home after suffering from her abusive marriage.
Prince, a nature lover with no interest in the sugar mill or cooperative field, eventually finds himself thrust into the world of politics and industry due to his family’s ambitions. Netra believes that the sugar factory and wealth will eventually be inherited by her family, but through clever tactics, Bapurao ensures the factory remains under the control of Prince and Shalaka.
As Shalaka impresses the Prime Minister, helping Prince become an MP, the story takes readers through numerous twists and turns. Shalaka faces opposition from her family and rivals, particularly Super Prince, the arrogant son of Netra and Bajirao. After overcoming many hurdles, Shalaka wins a crucial election, turning the rivalry between the two families into an unforgettable saga filled with drama, ambition, and family intrigue.
