Synopsis:
In Mohuldihar Din, the river is depicted as an enchanting entity, and the wind carries the saffron-colored veil of a mysterious woman. The vast forested lands, mines, and tribal communities are overshadowed by the towering mahua trees. When Komolika arrives in Mohuldihar, she finds herself entangled in the struggles and emotions of the local people. Her memories of Babli’s childhood in Kolkata contrast with the harsh realities of development projects that often leave people behind. Torn between her responsibilities as a mother to two children and her work life, she learns that true humanity lies in extending a helping hand without conditions. This novel is a powerful literary sculpture, skillfully crafted by a master storyteller.
