📖 Synopsis:
The socialist ideology faces a global crisis. Yet, in one state of India, Communist rule prevails. Sayan is a product of this era. He is disinterested in studies. While his cricket coach sees him as a natural fast bowler, the party leader believes he has all the qualities of a successful political worker. Torn between love, politics, and his existential crisis, Sayan eventually abandons cricket to become deeply involved in political activism.

As time passes, Sayan rises to lead the party's action squad. But after 15 years, the Communist government collapses, only to be replaced by another party with a similar political strategy. Branded as a political thug, he is arrested but later released on bail due to his friends' intervention. In the final chapter of his life, Sayan returns to the sports field—this time as a coach. Even though the political landscape changes, the power struggles within the Maidan remain the same. However, Sayan still yearns for a second chance at life. Maidan is a compelling story of a man caught between politics and passion, power and redemption.
