The detectives are eventually released but Tintin get kidnapped. Bab-El-Her, an Arab rebel, is behind the kidnapping. Tintin pretends to be dead and flees trap.
The plot in Land of Black Gold (The Adventures of Tintin) moves ahead and soon Tintin meets Dr. Müller, his former adversary. He catches Dr. Müller trying to damage an oil pipeline. Tintin and the bumbling detectives meet up again and travel to Wadesda. Young Prince Abdullah, the son of an Emir is kidnapped. Tintin believes that Dr. Müller has a role to play in this.
