Author Bio:
Nrisimha Prasad Bhadhuri was born on November 23, 1950, in Pabna, now in Bangladesh, and grew up in Kolkata. He was an excellent student and earned several prestigious scholarships throughout his academic career. He obtained a Master’s degree in Sanskrit Literature from Calcutta University and studied under the renowned scholars Kalimohan Tarkacharya and Vishnupad Bhattacharya.
Bhadhuri began his professional career in teaching at Nabadwip Vidyasagar College and continued as a professor at Gurudas College, Kolkata, from 1981 to 2010. He holds a Doctorate in Krishna-related drama and has written several research articles in various national and international journals. He is a regular contributor to Anandabazar Patrika, Desh, and Bartaman.
His primary interests are Vaishnavism and Sanskrit literature, with particular fascination for Buddhist philosophy and literature. Over time, he has explored these subjects through both research and teaching. Bhadhuri’s lifelong exploration of Mahabharata and Puranic literature is reflected in his works, and he continues to contribute to the scholarly world through his research.
