Sunil Gangopadhyay (Born: September 7, 1934, Faridpur, Bangladesh - Died: October 23, 2012) was one of the most celebrated authors in Bengali literature. He is best known for his work in both poetry and prose and his writing continues to be highly influential.

    • He began his writing journey with poetry, gaining fame in literary circles. His first novel, Atmaprakash, was serialized in Sharodiya Desh magazine.
    • His first poetry collection was titled Eka O Kichu Jon.
    • He was a well-regarded figure in Bengali literature and achieved popularity among both adult and young readers. His works are known for their deep themes, vivid character sketches, and a perfect blend of adventure, mystery, and human emotions.
