Book Description:
A few days after their marriage, discord starts creeping into Bitan and Rakhi's relationship. Rakhi finds herself reminiscing about love letters from Palash, a romance from her youth. Meanwhile, Sadhan Haldar, with a voice as melodious as a vine, sees himself as a woman, dreaming of his ideal man, Sunil Dutt. Upon meeting Sadhan, Barsha is inspired to create a documentary on transgender lives. Various narratives intertwine, creating a deeply layered and thought-provoking story.
About the Author:
Bipul Das was born in 1950 in Siliguri. A science graduate, he worked as a teacher and is now retired. His ancestral home was in the Faridpur district of present-day Bangladesh, but he grew up, studied, and built his career in Siliguri.
Apart from novels and short stories, he has written extensively in humor, children’s literature, and poetry. His first widely acclaimed story, Antibiotic, was published in the now-defunct Paharhtali magazine. His debut novel, Lal Ball, gained instant recognition among readers. His works are equally cherished in both little magazines and mainstream publications. He has a deep love for classical instrumental music and folk songs.
