Synopsis:

Jadunal is a gripping novel by Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay, weaving together themes of mystery, relationships, and the ever-changing fabric of life. The story follows Satyacharan, whose children live in America, while he and his wife Jayati have raised their foster son, Rajat Singh. However, in his later years, Satyacharan develops a strong emotional attachment to Padmavati.

Meanwhile, in Green Valley, a group of young men—Sukhen, Guddu, Raju, and Bulton—takes responsibility for the last rites of Haradhan Layek. But Raju senses that Haradhan’s death was not natural. When his childhood friend Jayi shares his suspicions, the plot thickens. Adding to the mystery, Haradhan’s old friend Samar suddenly meets Raju.

The novel delves into life's multiple layers—relationships, secrets, and the unknown. Why does Raju struggle to forget Elina? What fate awaits Bulton and Bula's friendship? And what shocking truth does Samar reveal to Raju?

Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay masterfully portrays the duality of life, where answers lie between the finite and the infinite, leaving readers with a lingering sense of mystery and depth.
