About the Book
India boasts a rich and diverse history that spans several millennia, marked by numerous advanced civilizations. The people of India during these periods were highly sophisticated and contributed significantly to various fields like government, philosophy, religion, medicine, metallurgy, wildlife management, weaving, architecture, and brewing. Many of these systems were indigenous and far ahead of their time.

Yet, much of this history is hidden beneath the surface, either physically in the form of archaeological remains or in writings that remain cryptic or indecipherable, crafted by scholars in temples, monasteries, courts, and villages. The well-documented history of India, largely established by archaeological findings, epigraphic records, and writings of well-known authors, has often been interpreted through the lens of foreign, primarily British, historians, influenced by their own cultural and historical perspectives.

In this book, the author explores the glory of certain epochs in India's ancient history and attempts to explain the events of the past by reconstructing the conditions under which they occurred. The work focuses on the period between 550 B.C. and 1858 A.D., when the British formally assumed control over India. Through this analytical review, the author aims to offer a more authentic interpretation of India’s history, devoid of foreign biases.

The book adopts an objective, accessible, and engaging style, making it a useful resource for students and working individuals interested in understanding Indian history from a new perspective.
