About the Book

The IBSA Declaration and South-South Cooperation offers a comprehensive scholarly analysis of the IBSA grouping, comprising India, Brazil, and South Africa. Established as a platform for South-South cooperation, IBSA has become a key player in global politics. This book provides a detailed narrative of its development from an informal meeting in 2003 to its emergence as a significant political and diplomatic entity.

This work:

  • Traces the history of IBSA, offering an analytical and fact-based account of its evolution.

  • Contextualizes IBSA within the broader framework of South-South cooperation and the shifting power dynamics in global politics.

  • Evaluates IBSA's impact on the global order in the twenty-first century, providing insight into its growing role in global governance.

This is the first full-length treatment of the IBSA, making it an essential reference for students and scholars of International Relations, international organizations, and the Global South.
