Details: A complete atlas of human anatomy with substantial accompanying text. Basic anatomical concepts are explained in the opening chapter and, region by region, the subsequent chapters provide a guide to the topography of the entire human body, male and female. The author aims to bridge the gap between textbook anatomy and a clear understanding of how people are really put together. Photographs of the dissected cadaver illustrate human structure as it actually appears. The four-colour guides highlight and clarify the structures and relationships shown in each photograph, and place everything within a standard anatomical framework. The text describes structure and function in detail and is peppered with the clinical correlates of the anatomy under discussion. In addition to the more specific changes made to each chapter (outlined below), there have been a number of improvement made to the overall structure of the book. All text has been reviewed and amended wherever clarity was not achieved in the first edition. The colour scheme used throughout dissection guides has been revised extensively so that colours are tissue specific, consistent and much easier to follow via the book's user guide. All guides have been reviewed and corrections made where necessary.
