Book Description:
Unlike the fictional detectives Feluda and Byomkesh, real-life investigators do not rely on imagination alone. The world of crime investigation is less about thrill and excitement and more about hard work, patience, and perseverance. While fictional detectives conclude their work once the criminal is identified, real detectives must ensure thorough investigations that lead to the conviction of the guilty.
In Goyendapith Lalbazar, veteran IPS officer Supratim Sarkar unravels the gripping true stories of twelve sensational murder cases in Kolkata. Through detailed case studies, he provides a behind-the-scenes look at the relentless efforts of real detectives. This book highlights how Lalbazar, Kolkata’s crime investigation hub, has often been compared to Scotland Yard. With its meticulous storytelling, suspenseful narratives, and immersive style, Goyendapith Lalbazar introduces readers to a new dimension of crime literature.
