About The Book:
Ei Ami Mayakovsky (This is I, Mayakovsky) is a Bengali translation of the autobiographical work of the renowned Russian poet Vladimir Mayakovsky, translated by Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee. The book had remained unpublished for a long time, but due to reader demand, National Book Agency has now made it available in this edition.
The book includes the English translation of Mayakovsky's original Russian work by Alex Miller, which has been carefully adapted into Bengali by Bhattacharjee. This edition includes necessary corrections and additions to improve the text. It also features Bengali translations of seven of Mayakovsky’s famous poems.
In the latter part of the book, the publisher has added a brief biography of Mayakovsky to provide further context about the poet's life and work. This memoir serves not only as an introduction to Mayakovsky’s poetry but also as a personal exploration of his life and his unique place in the world of literature, making it an important read for lovers of poetry and Russian literature.
