About the Author
K. Jafar is an Assistant Professor at the Madras Institute of Development Studies (MIDS), Chennai. He has previously taught at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (Hyderabad), the Council for Social Development (Hyderabad), Azim Premji University (Bengaluru), and the Centre for Development Studies (Thiruvananthapuram). His research interests focus on development issues, particularly the links between education, labor migration, financial inclusion, gender, and local planning.
