• Initially starting his career with private tutoring, he went on to work in various roles, including as an officer in an insurance company, a UNESCO worker for adult education promotion, and a government clerk.
• Gangopadhyay began his literary journey with poetry and eventually transitioned into novel writing. His first novel Atmaprakash was published in Sharodiya Desh magazine.
• He founded the renowned literary magazine Krittibas, which became a significant part of Bengali literature. Gangopadhyay is widely known for his works for both adults and children, including his famous Kakababu series.
