  • Due to his father's job, he lived in various places during his childhood and eventually settled in Krishnanagar.
  • He completed his schooling at A.V. High School and graduated from Krishnanagar Government College.
  • After working at Nadia Gramin Bank, he joined the Income Tax Department as an Inspector.
  • His mountaineering journey began in 1995 with the Mountaineers Association of Krishnanagar.
  • His primary inspiration for mountaineering was his late father, Jitendra Nath.
  • He resides in the government quarters in Bidhannagar’s Telengabagan with his wife, Mukti, who works with Air India at Kolkata Airport. They have two sons, Shantanu and Debanshu.
