Details: Big Money is a hilarious novel written by P G Wodehouse. This book is a combination of farce and romantic comedy. The book was first published in the USA in 1931. The story revolves around two young men, Lord Biskerton, referred to as “Biscuit” and his all-time best comrade John Beresford or “Berry” Conway. They make all endeavours to raise money to woo their respective girls.
In the story, Torquil Paterson Frisby is an American millionaire who owns big money. But his desire of having more is unending. He has a beautiful niece named Ann Moon. She is engaged to Lord Biskerton or Biscuit who is in great debts. He does not have enough to pay back his creditors and so he escapes to Valley Fields.
When “Biscuit” is away in the Valley Fields, his old school friend Berry Conway falls for Ann Moon. He has been working for Frisby and so he gets in touch with her easily. Berry seems to have inherited a lot of his aunt’s shares in the Dream Come True copper mine but they are worthless and of no use. On the other hand, Biscuit is attracted to Ann’s friend Kitchie Valentine. Aside from being a hilarious comedy, these love affairs create a bit of complication too.
