Summary:
The home is the personal world of its inhabitants. While much attention is often paid to the architecture and exterior decoration of a house, the interior design holds equal importance in contributing to the beauty and comfort of the space. This book, Bangali Barir Andarsajja by Sudip Bhattacharya, sheds light on the importance of interior decoration, especially within the context of traditional Bengali homes.

In the late 20th century, interior decoration began gaining prominence in the thoughts of the middle-class Bengali family. The book explores the evolution of interior design ideas among Bengali people, mixing traditional elements with modern foreign influences. Written in an easy-to-understand, storytelling style, it provides practical advice on how to decorate a home.

With clear, simple language, the book covers a variety of ways to approach home décor, helping readers make informed decisions about creating aesthetic, comfortable, and functional interiors.
