- Writing Career: Suchitra was deeply interested in literature from a young age and began writing in the late 1970s. Her works focus primarily on the struggles, pains, and emotions of women. She is known for her ability to weave complex, soulful relationships in her writing.
- Awards: She received numerous accolades, including the Shashwati Foundation Award for her novel Dahan, the Bhuvan Mohini Award from Calcutta University, the Sharatchandra Award, and many others.
