Book Description
"Agun Paharer Puthi" is a gripping thriller by Sijar Bagchi, set against the backdrop of Sikkim. The story revolves around the mysterious death of Tirthapati Mitra, a renowned Bengali language scholar. He is chased by a group of criminals and dies while trying to escape. The key question is: Did Tirthapati's death have anything to do with a particular manuscript he had been searching for?
This manuscript, the elusive Puthi, was the subject of Tirthapati's years of research. His close friend, Professor Somnath Bhattacharya, a retired Bengali professor, becomes suspicious and believes the Puthi is connected to Tirthapati's untimely demise. He asks his former student, Shubhamoy, to continue Tirthapati's unfinished work and search for the missing Puthi.
Accompanying Shubhamoy is Tirthapati's only daughter, Anshuja. Together, they embark on a journey to unravel the mystery. The story unfolds with questions surrounding the importance of the manuscript, the dangers it presents, and why a respected scholar had to die for it. Bagchi skillfully weaves suspense and intrigue in this high-stakes thriller, leading readers on a race against time to uncover the truth behind Tirthapati Mitra’s death and the secretive Puthi.
