Supratim Sarkar
Supratim Sarkar was born in Kolkata on 30th May 1971. An outstanding student from a young age, he completed his schooling at St. Lawrence High School and went on to graduate with a first-class degree in Economics from Presidency College. After a brief stint as a journalist with Anandabazar Patrika, he joined the Indian Police Service (IPS) in 1997.
Throughout his career, he has held several important administrative positions in various districts and in Kolkata. Currently, he serves as the Additional Commissioner of Kolkata Police. For his exceptional skills in his professional role, Supratim Sarkar was awarded the Indian Police Medal by the President of India in 2015 and was honored with a special recognition from the Chief Minister of West Bengal in 2017.
Apart from his professional achievements, Supratim Sarkar is a passionate cricket enthusiast. His debut book marks his entry into the world of crime writing.
