- Managing Pragati Library
- Establishing the Pragati Writers' Association
- Leading workers' movements, becoming the secretary of the railway workers' union at just 21 years old
Despite his active political life, he was an exceptional storyteller, writing remarkable short stories like:
- Idur (Rat)
- Danga (Riot)
- Muhurt (Moment)
- Satyaboti’r Biday (Satyaboti’s Farewell)
- Andha Sribilas-er Koyekdin-er Ekdin (A Day in the Life of Blind Sribilas)
In 1942, at just 22 years old, he was brutally assassinated by a political rival on his way to an anti-fascist meeting.
