About the Author:
Sadhana Mukhopadhyay was born on 6th December 1934 in Allahabad. She spent her early years there and later pursued an MA in Geography and B.Ed from Calcutta University. She had a long career in teaching and is now associated with the monthly magazine Anandamela. Apart from her academic background, she is a passionate writer and poet, with her first poetry collection, "Akashkanya", and numerous other works to her credit. She has written prolifically on geographical subjects, and her popular essays and travel writings have been widely appreciated.
Her work extends beyond writing as she is known for her deep knowledge of food and health, which is reflected in books like "Fal Khabar".
