About the Book
This book contributes to the expanding body of literature on empirical and policy issues in international trade, foreign capital flows, and finance, with a particular focus on implications for India and emerging economies. It explores the trade and development interface, analyzing sector-level growth and development in India, with a strong emphasis on policy aspects. The book examines the role of these elements in fostering economic development in India and other emerging market economies, discussing the significant role of policy in addressing challenges in these regions.
The volume employs advanced techniques such as gravity models, panel co-integration, generalized hyperbolic distributions, SEM, FMOLS, and Probit models to analyze key issues. Each chapter is complemented by a thorough literature review, data availability discussions, and a theoretical background, making this an important contribution to the literature on trade, capital flows, and growth.
The book is intended for those interested in contemporary issues in trade, finance, and growth, as well as students of advanced econometrics, providing both theoretical insights and practical, empirical analyses.
