About Tangail Saree:

Tangail sarees are traditionally hand-woven on cotton and silk, featuring hand-worked buti, floral designs, or contemporary motifs. The primary characteristic of a Tangail saree is the extra weft buti, which consists of tiny motifs repeated throughout the saree with the help of a Jacquard loom. These sarees are known for being light, making them excellent for daily wear. Approximately 1,000 weavers and 2,000 ancillary artisans from Nadia and Bardhaman districts produce these colourful, easy-to-manage, and uniquely elegant cotton sarees.
