About Tangail Saree:

Tangail sarees are handwoven on cotton and silk, featuring hand-worked butis (small motifs) or floral and contemporary designs. The signature feature of a Tangail saree is its extra weft buti, with tiny motifs repeated all over the saree. These motifs are woven using a Jacquard loom, making the saree uniquely elegant.

Cotton Tangail sarees are incredibly popular due to their light weight, making them perfect for daily wear. These sarees are crafted by around 1,000 weavers and 2,000 ancillary artisans primarily in the Nadia and Bardhaman districts of Bengal. The weaving process combines both artistry and skill, resulting in a beautifully crafted product.
