About the Author / Editor
Sheobahal Singh earned his Master’s degree in Sociology from Rajasthan University, Jaipur, in 1969. He began his teaching career at Tilak Dhari (PG) College, Jaunpur, and later joined Gorakhpur University, where he retired as Professor and Head of the Department of Sociology in 2009. A member of the Managing Committee of the Indian Sociological Society, he specializes in sociology of entrepreneurship, development, and social change. He has authored numerous papers and books, including the widely used NCERT textbook Introducing Sociology in both English and Hindi.
