A group of Buddhist monks from the distant Chang Jiang province of Han China set out on a journey along the ancient Silk Road to visit the land of Lord Buddha, Kushinagar, with the aim of collecting the Vinaya Pitaka. The young monk, Tan Kwang, finds solace in the Buddha's teachings but is still unable to fully integrate them into his heart. His inquisitive mind is drawn to the beauty of women. Captivated by a woman of fiery beauty, he cannot resist, and his attraction grows.

In the face of life’s challenges, he feels that death itself is insignificant. His vitality brings life back to a dead village. Along the journey, he continues to believe that the events unfolding are part of the Buddha's compassionate will, moving forward with the belief that the path is the only truth, and everything else is just part of time.
