About the Author:
Born on May 31, 1954, Prof. Ajay Kumar Sharma is a renowned scholar and physician in the field of Ayurvedic Medicine. With a stellar academic career, he graduated in Ayurveda from A & U. Tibbia College, New Delhi, and went on to earn his M.D. (Ay.) and Ph.D. from Banaras Hindu University. He is currently the senior professor and head of the Postgraduate Department of Kadyacikitsa at the National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur.
Prof. Sharma has published over 110 research papers and written several significant books on Ayurveda. He is recognized for his contribution to Ayurvedic literature and has trained numerous postgraduate students, with 35 M.D.s and 5 Ph.D.s under his guidance. His research has contributed to the scientific validation of Ayurvedic principles and practices, particularly in cardiology.
