About the Book:
This innovative book is motivated by the belief that psychology holds significant potential in addressing the environmental crises threatening the survival and well-being of the planet. With limited awareness among the public regarding the power of behavioral sciences in offering lasting solutions to environmental challenges, much of the responsibility still rests on technological solutions that are failing to bring sustainable results.
Written from a multi-disciplinary perspective, this book brings together psychologists, environmental scientists, corporate managers, and natural resource conservationists to integrate behavioral insights into the solutions for modern environmental challenges. The book covers a wide range of topics, including:
-
Consumptive behavior and its impact on the environment
-
Mindset and the psychology of environmental stress
-
Corporate social responsibility in the face of climate change
-
Environmental leadership and its role in creating sustainable solutions
What sets this book apart is its unique approach to addressing pressing environmental issues such as global warming, climate change, and urban environmental stress with behavioral solutions. The book aims to encourage researchers to explore new behavioral insights that can be universally applied to solve environmental problems.
