Prof. Dr. M.L. Wadekar is the officiating director of the Oriental Institute at Maharaja Sayajirao University, Vadodara. He holds a B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. from M.S. University, Vadodara. Dr. Wadekar has been engaged in research for over 25 years and has authored and edited several scholarly books that have been well-received in the academic world. His works include Devalasmrti Reconstruction and Critical Study (Vol. I and II), Aspects of Indological Studies, Devima Hammam with Commentary of Nilambaracaya, and more. Prof. Wadekar hails from a family with strong Sanskrit traditions, and his uncle was a veteran Sanskrit scholar and Indologist. This book is a tribute to the revered sage Siddheśvara Mahārāja and his scholar son Ramacandra from Kolhapur, with whom Dr. Wadekar has personal ties.
