About the Author
Dr. A. Ahammad is an accomplished academic and researcher, currently serving as Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Political Science at Bhairab Ganguly College, Kolkata, and as a Visiting Professor of Human Rights at Aliah University, Kolkata. He has also taught for over a decade at Dr. Meghnad Saha College, Uttar Dinajpur, West Bengal.
Dr. Ahammad holds an impressive academic portfolio with multiple postgraduate degrees (Political Science, Public Administration, Education, English, Social Work), an M.Phil., Ph.D., D.Litt., and professional diplomas in software technology. He has published more than 40 research articles, authored over 10 books, and contributed to numerous book chapters, seminar proceedings, and conferences at national and international levels.
He is a Lifetime Member of the Indian Political Science Association and has been recognized with the Academic Excellence Award 2023–24 by Bhairab Ganguly College. Beyond academics, he actively engages in research, writing, and various social welfare initiatives.
