About the Book
This volume brings together a compelling set of essays that examine the complex realities of caste-based marginalization in India. Edited by Jagan Karade, Caste-Based Marginalization in India explores how systemic social exclusion continues to deny Dalits and other lower-caste communities their fundamental social, economic, political, and educational rights. The contributors delve into issues such as globalization, the role of media and cinema, subaltern histories, and caste-related discrimination in higher education and employment.
The book not only highlights the roots and persistence of caste marginalization but also emphasizes the urgency of inclusive development policies. It is a timely academic resource for students, researchers, social workers, and policymakers committed to social justice, equality, and inclusive governance.
