About the Book
Health Issues and Human Rights addresses the pressing health challenges faced by people, particularly in the context of urbanization and changing environmental situations. The book explores the impact of social and economic factors on health, emphasizing how public health workers must understand these factors to effectively address both primary prevention and the treatment of diseases.
The volume is divided into three sections:
-
Section I: Health Issues and Human Rights
-
Section II: Occupation and Health: The Challenges
-
Section III: Changing Health Scenario: Opportunities and Challenges
The research highlights the emerging health issues associated with job hazards, urbanization, and environmental changes, and emphasizes the importance of understanding traditional medicine as part of modern healthcare. The contributions from various scholars offer insights into mental health, occupational stress, child health in urban slums, and more. The findings aim to generate interest among health administrators, scholars, and researchers in anthropology, sociology, and medical science.
