Author Biography: K N Rao is a well-respected Indian Vedic astrologer. He hails from a Brahmin family in Andhra Pradesh, and his full name is Kotamraju Narayana Rao. He was the second of four children in his family. His father, K R Rao, was an influential journalist during India’s independence period. K N Rao’s elder brother, Pratap Rao, worked in the Foreign Service, while his younger brother, Vikram Rao, became the President of the All India Working Journalists Association. His youngest brother retired as a bank manager and later contributed to the "Journal of Astrology."
K N Rao holds a Master’s degree in English Literature and initially worked as an English lecturer. He later joined the Indian Audit and Accounts Service and retired as Director-General in 1990. After his retirement, K N Rao dedicated his life to the study and practice of Vedic astrology, writing several influential books in the field.
