Review
"The text is the best Criminal Law text I have seen. Actually, it is the best text in any subject I have seen. It should serve as a model for textbook writing in all subjects taught at undergraduate institutions.

It is very well written, organized and researched. It is comprehensive without being wooden. There is a lot of variety of material so it remains interesting throughout the course. The companion resources are particularly helpful both for instructors and students." (Jane Younglove 2010-04-22)

"It is by far the best text/casebook on the market geared to undergraduate students in a criminal law class. It is also the best bargain, and priced at least $50 less than other criminal law texts designed for undergraduate instruction. The cases are anything but boring; Professor Lippman has done a brilliant job in selecting cases that bring the material to life with real-world situations."
(Philip M. Stinson, Sr.)

"I feel the Lippman
Contemporary Criminal Law text fills a unique niche among similar books in that it seems the most cutting-edge and current. It also lives up to its subtitle by bringing in the most controversial issues in the discipline. The cases are interesting and useful." (Jennifer K. Wesely)

"The major strengths of the text include a clear writing style, the inclusion of comprehension tools such as chapter summaries and “legal equations,” and most especially, the broad range of interesting and provocative cases." (Don Liddick 2010-04-22)

"This the best textbook for my teaching style because of its balanced use of text and cases. I intend to continue to use Lippman." (Russell Loving)
