Synopsis:
Tista, a dedicated researcher, needs both a laboratory and a guinea pig husband for her experiment. Enter unemployed Bhutnath, who takes on a new identity as Rangit. His role? To run the household, follow his wife’s instructions, and perform all the duties of a housewife—except he is labeled a husband only because of his gender.

As Tista's research concludes, Rangit loses his job and identity. But does the story of their relationship end there? Or does it open up a new exploration of gender roles, dependency, and self-discovery?

About the Author:
Shekhar Mukhopadhyay was born in October 1965 in Rampurhat, Birbhum, with ancestral roots in the village Beliya. His early education started in a rural primary school, encouraged by his grandfather. Due to his father's transferable job, he spent his childhood across various parts of North and South Bengal, eventually settling in Santiniketan, where he pursued most of his education.

Shekhar holds a Master’s degree in Economics and has worked on several research projects before taking up a teaching career in government colleges. He initially taught at Darjeeling Government College, then at Goenka College of Commerce and Business Administration, and is currently working at Jhargram Raj College.

His writing journey began with contributions to school and college magazines, but after a long break, he resumed serious literary work when his short story "Promoter-er Lok" was published in Desh magazine (September 2005).
